Zatch Bell Vol 1 New [extra Quality]
Kiyomaro, a bratty junior high genius, finds a strange boy named Zatch. Zatch has a red book — when Kiyomaro reads from it, Zatch shoots lightning from his mouth. They’re thrust into a 100-child battle royale to become king of the demon world.
Because the reprints are sporadic, you cannot always walk into a Barnes & Noble and find it. However, as of late 2024, supply chains have stabilized.
While a new official English physical release of the "Full Version" is still highly anticipated by fans, several versions are currently available:

Instead of advertisements, the inside of the dust jacket contains Author’s Commentary : A newly written essay by Makoto Raiku reflecting on the very first chapter he drew 20 years ago, discussing how his view of "Kindness" has evolved.
This isn't just a simple reprint. The new edition offers several massive upgrades that make it the definitive way to experience the series:
Volume 1 introduces us to a trope that feels familiar on the surface: a powerless boy given a powerful artifact. Kiyo Takamine is a cynical, isolated middle schooler—archetypes we’ve seen a thousand times. But then enters Zatch (Gash). In any other series, the mascot character might be a fierce tiger or a cool spirit. Instead, we get a small, naked, amnesiac boy with a bowl cut holding a doll.
